Porsche 959SC delivery to PCA Werks Amelia
Our newly acquired Porsche 959SC from Canepa Motorsports has officially joined the collection, and it made its debut in a fitting way. The car was delivered to the Porsche Club of America Werks Reunion at Amelia Island by Bruce Canepa himself, the man responsible for transforming the legendary 959 into its SC specification.
The Porsche 959 was one of the most advanced supercars of its era, originally built in the 1980s as a technological showcase for Porsche. Through Canepa’s comprehensive SC conversion program, these already remarkable cars are further refined with increased performance, improved reliability, and subtle updates that preserve the character of the original.
This example now becomes the third Porsche 959 in the American Muscle Car Museum collection, joining two other examples that highlight the evolution and legacy of Porsche’s groundbreaking supercar.
The 959SC will soon be on display inside the museum and available to view during our upcoming spring events.
Here it is unveiled at the PCA Werks Reunion during Amelia Island Concours Week. We will have more on this special addition once we get it back to the AMCM.
