Gallery Description

On Thursday, October 27th, the museum hosted an appreciation event for the City of Melbourne Volunteer Board. Volunteers in various departments that help the City of Melbourne were recognized for their years of service, including one individual with 47 years of serving our local community! Nearly two hundred people gathered, and after some speaking and recognition of years of service in the front showroom, the entire museum was opened up for the guests to check out.

We thank all those Volunteer members for their help in the community and look forward to having them again next year. Thank you to City Clerk Kevin McKeown for his work setting all this up and Melbourne Mayor Paul Alfrey for helping celebrate our local volunteers. For more information on becoming a City of Melbourne volunteer, stop by the City Clerk's Office at City Hall on the fifth floor at 900 E. Strawbridge Ave. or check out the City of Melbourne website.
