Gallery Description

On Saturday, November 5th, the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation held its fundraising event here at the AMCM. All the proceeds raised went to help support the 154-year-old lighthouse inside the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Ticket prices include outstanding food from Wild Ocean Seafood Market and beer, wine, and other refreshments from Mark and Tetiana Pieloch. The evening also had a few live auction items, including a 20-person tour of the lighthouse and a couple of tables of great silent auction items. Around 175 people attended, and we appreciate everyone supporting this important piece of Brevard County history.

The lighthouse is owned by the United States Space Force and maintained as an active aid to navigation by the United States Coast Guard. Public members can only visit by taking a tour, which must be booked at least two days prior, in order to process through Space Force Security. For more information on how to check out the lighthouse yourself, head over to Canaverallight.org for all the information.
