On Saturday, December 7th, For the Love of Paws held an evening charity fundraiser at the Museum. More than 150 gathered to raise money for this 501c3, whose mission is to help pets who have lost their Senior Citizen owner, who have become temporarily incapacitated, are placed in a nursing home or a rehabilitation facility, or who have passed away. In addition, they have established a Pet Food Bank and partnerships with local Food Banks to help those in need to keep their pets instead of abandoning or surrendering them to local shelters for lack of food. The group is based out of Fellsmere, Florida, and more information about them can be found at PawsPetSanctuary.org
Over $30,000 was raised through ticket sales, live and silent auctions, and event sponsorships. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this event possible. Food and drinks were donated by Mark and Tetiana Pieloch. Thanks as always to our AMCM volunteers for their help with all of our events!
