Our final post from the 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona highlights the GTD class, the largest category in the race with 21 cars representing a wide range of manufacturers, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Chevrolet, and Ford.
While some of the cars mirror those seen in GTD PRO, the key difference comes down to driver lineups and team structure. GTD entries feature a mix of gentleman drivers and professional racers and typically operate without the same level of direct factory backing as the GTD PRO squads, which adds another strategic layer to endurance competition.
This year’s class victory went to the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3, which also finished an impressive 27th overall in the massive 60-car field. Second and third place were claimed by a pair of Aston Martin Vantage GT3 EVOs from Magnus Racing and the Heart of Racing Team.
Here’s a look at the GTD class in action at the 2026 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
