On Saturday, March 28th, the AMCM hosted the AACA Celebration of Cars, our largest show of the year. Organized by the Cape Canaveral chapter of the AACA, the event drew around 450 cars in perfect weather.
This year’s featured class celebrated 100 years of Pontiac, with around one hundred examples spanning all eras of the brand. A big thank you to the local Pontiac clubs for helping make it such a strong and diverse display.
As in past years, Dennis Gage of My Classic Car joined AMCM owner Mark Pieloch for the noon unveiling of our newly acquired Porsche 959SC. We originally took delivery of the car at the PCA Werks Reunion earlier in March, but this marked its first appearance on display inside the museum. While on site, Dennis and his videographer Ben also filmed our pair of wagons—a 1957 Ford Fairlane County Squire and a 1959 Ford County Sedan—along with portions of the car show. We’ll share more once the episode is released.
As with nearly all AMCM events, the day also supported great local causes. This year, the Cape Canaveral AACA selected the Central Brevard Sharing Center as the beneficiary for museum access. Through wristband sales and show car registration, over $14,000 was raised. An additional $3,000 was donated to support the Rockledge Viera Kiwanis through museum admissions.
Thank you to everyone who came out, enjoyed the show, and helped support these important organizations!
