The Great Race - Joplin, Missouri
The second overnight stop of the Great Race was in Joplin, Missouri. Along the way, teams passed through several checkpoints and classic Route 66 roadside attractions, including the World’s Largest Rocking Chair in Casey, Illinois, and the Wagon Wheel Motel in Cuba, Missouri.
The lunch stop was in Waynesville, Missouri, just as heavy rain moved through the area. From there, competitors continued along Route 66 toward Joplin, covering nearly the entire distance across Missouri. Joplin also hosted Great Race stops in 2021 and 2023.
As the cars rolled into town, they gathered on Main Street in downtown Joplin and were on display from 5 to 8 PM. As for the Revology Boss 429, it didn’t miss a beat, covering well over 400 trouble-free miles for the day.
