Since approximately only 200 original Carrera “RS Lightweights” cars were ever produced, they are often replicated. The 1971 911 here is believed to have been a southern rust free car all its life. The rear flares, “Duck Tail” rear spoiler and front air dam spoiler and are the main identifying features of the RS, notwithstanding the race-bred mechanicals. The color on this bare metal restoration is returned to its original Gold Metallic finish. The black leatherette interior has been fully restored with RS style door panels, sports seats and sport steering wheel, carpeting & headliner. The engine & transmission have been freshly rebuilt.
