The ZR1 was built from 1990-1995 and was an expensive option increasing the performance of an already very capable car. The ZR1 option doubled the price of the Corvette, making it north of $60k.... a lot of money in the '90s. In the day, Road and Track measured a 0–60 mph time of 4.9 seconds, a quarter-mile of 13.4 seconds, and a tested top speed was 179 mph. Crazy today, but even more so in period!
